Adres Bekend
website - dutch - '08
Adres Bekend ("Address Known") is a new online service in the Netherlands for sending and receiving snail mail without making your postal address public. By signing up at Adres Bekend, you receive an alias for your address. You can use this alias ('you~adresbekend') on your own website or weblog, on social networks, dating sites, etcetera. People can then send you a postcard - without knowing your address, or even your name.
For now, postcards can be created and sent through the Adres Bekend shop. In the near future, Adres Bekend will be available in other online shops as well.
The idea behind Adres Bekend is to protect consumers' privacy online, while allowing them to receive snail mail. Compared to e-mail or a blog comment, an oldfashioned postcard on your doormat is a much more personal gesture. At the same time, you don't want your address to float around the internet and end up in commercial databases - there's enough spam as it is. Adres Bekend safely stores your address and gives you a public alias in return.
Try it out: sign up or send me a postcard at bv~adresbekend.

GroenBalans
website - dutch - '07-'09
GroenBalans (GreenBalance) helps companies fight global warming by compensating their carbon footprint. The site includes a carbon calculator for adding up and converting energy use in offices (electricity and gas), staff commutes by car and public transport, as well as business trips by plane.
Instead of planting trees, compensation by GroenBalans is achieved by buying certificates of green energy and carbon emission reductions. The latter consists of several different types, for example clean energy projects in Eastern Europe and developing countries. It also includes European Allowances (EUAs), the emission rights for European industries established under the Kyoto Protocol. Buying these rights creates scarcity on the market, and it forces the industry as a whole to produce x tons of CO2 less.
Of course saving energy and using renewable energy come first, but compensating the remainder (e.g. caused by driving and flying) should be part of any corporate social responsibility strategy.

RVS Personal Advice
web films - dutch - 10 min. - '07
For the new website of RVS, a Dutch financial services company, Lukkien created and produced a number of films highlighting the personal approach of RVS's financial advisors.
The site features a personal advisor, named Janine, who welcomes visitors and familiarizes them with the RVS proposition. In six longer films, Janine narrates cases from her own experience with visiting clients at home and helping them with personal financial advice. The films present slice-of-life stories on subjects ranging from buying a house to pension plans and financial security for the kids.

Piombo Man
nonlinear film - no dialogue - 4 min. - '07
The Shanghai office of ad agency Tequila and production company Black and Cameron created a short film concept to present Italian/Chinese clothing brand Piombo's Fall '07 collection.
Two themes, Western and Travel, were incorporated in a mildly surreal story following a business man - the Piombo Man - on a day in Shanghai. Depending on what he wears, the world around him appears subtly different. Viewers can watch the film both as two separate story lines or in splitscreen, to spot the differences.

Directed by Arjen Oosterbaan.

TNT Post Parcel Service MovieMaker
interactive film - dutch/english - 2-8 min. - '07
For TNT Post Parcel Service, Blutarsky created an interactive corporate film to be used as a sales tool by account managers.
The Moviemaker is a full-screen Flash application that delivers a seamless film generated on the fly based on a viewer's selection from a number of subjects.
The documentary-style film gives an overview of Parcel Service's organization, products and services, focusing on reliability and innovation, and including short interviews with clients. Depending on the chosen subjects, the film goes into more detail. In all possible versions (there are many!) the result will be a coherent whole.
The Moviemaker is available in Dutch as well as English. As a flexible format, it allows for easy updating and expanding.

Produced by House of Stories.
(The format for the Moviemaker was inspired by the old Cannes Moviemaker.)
